How To Make A Ride-On Toy For Your Kids From IKEA Parts

Thu, Sep 30, 2010 | 0-2, 2-4, 5-7, Toys | By Mike

Skapa is a ride-on toy designed by Sam Johnson that you can make by yourself from IKEA parts. The idea was to get the toy that could be created from readily available materials and then be disassembled for re-use or recycling. Thanks to the fact that you don’t need much besides things you can buy in IKEA, the project could be done in many countries without any troubles.

To make this ride-on toy you need one IKEA storage box, one IKEA chopping board and a set of IKEA castors, two cable/Zip ties and decorated with your choice of handles and eyes. On Ten Plan’s website you can find pictures and instructions of how to connect all these parts.
