The mermaid theme is such a wonderful theme for a kid’s party! On one hand, it’s rather easy to plan with all those favorite and known details of the beach décor and the ocean hued palette, but on the other hand, it also gives you enough possibilities to be creative. The 1^st birthday party for Emilee turned out so happy and feminine! Her mom Ashlee Thomas decided not to go Ariel overload with the party, and bring out the essence of the character instead. All in all, she tried to bring some “shabby ocean chic” vibe to life, and I think she did great. My favorite part here is definitely the photo collage – it’s just awesome!
