Easy DIY Pegboard Your Kids Can Create Art On

Tue, Jan 22, 2013 | DIY Projects, Kids room | By Irina

Pegboard is one of those materials that just seems to have endless uses but I never thought of using it as an art canvas — until now! Kara Paslay designed this piece for a client’s workroom; it’s a place where kids (and adults!) can create all sorts of designs using little colorful dowels and rubber bands. She painted the pegboard black to make the colors really pop, and then just chopped a bunch of colored pencils in half for the dowels. Add some colorful rubber bands or string, and you’ve got the makings of a pretty neat reusable surface for all sorts of creativity! She even used some of the materials to create makeshift shelving at the top for books… the options are endless!
