DIY Tree Swing For Two In The Backyard

Mon, Jan 7, 2013 | DIY Projects, Parents | By julia

If you’re fortunate enough to have a large tree in your backyard you might use it for a tree swing for children.  Measure36 inches for the length of the bench and4 inches for each end support block then cut them. Polish all the details. Attach the support blocks to each end of the bench with wood glue and drill four holes on the corners and one in the middle every support block for rope. Measure the center point for two holes to be equidistant from each other and the edges of the seat. Using your 3/4 spade bit, drill two holes that will be used to thread the rope through. Paint swing’s seat and hang it using rope. You must test your swing on safety and after that your children can enjoy it.
