Cool Pirate Ship Playing Area For Your Kid’s Room

If you don’t have a special place to make a playroom for your child, you can separate one kid’s room into two parts – sleeping and playing. You can apply Kate’s idea to create a playing area in the shape of a pirate ship. Use a square cardboard box as the base, then staple long pieces of cardboard either side to form a boat-shape. Then cover these in leftover wood-effect wallpaper for a nautical touch, though painting would do just as well. The sails are made of sheets of standard A3 paper, printed with a skull and crossbones, then lashed to bamboo poles and punched holes in the paper first and reinforced them with eyelets. A telescope was made of 3 empty toilet rolls. Make treasure map and singe the edges. Make anchor of some scrap materials. The ship is ready. Fair wind!
