The Cutest DIY Acorn-Topped Ornaments To Make With Your Kids

Thu, Dec 19, 2013 | DIY Projects | By Irina

These little cuties are so easy to make and they can be perfect as a gift itself as well as be a topping your holiday presents. Supplies are acorn tops, unfinished wooden beads, hot glue gun with hot glue sticks, fine-tipped permanent pen, colored pencil and baker’s twine. First let your kid to draw a cute face with blush cheeks on the bead using permanent pen and colored pencils (you can also add some features like hair). Then carefully affix your acorn top to the wooden bead using a dab of hot glue inside the cap and allow glue to set. Determine the twine’s length, place some glue at the base of the stem and secure the center point of twine into the hot glue. Wrap twine around the stem for a couple of times, make double knot and allow glue to set. Tadda!
