Thu, May 16, 2013 | DIY Projects | By Irina

The greatest russian painter Kandinsky is famous by his purely abstract works. Inspired by his Concentric circles the author of this DIY tutorial with her kids decided to set up a project that no less artistic and that includes a discussion about abstract art, and the chance to experiment with color and shape. To set up circle-painting project you’ll need: oversized watercolor paper, liquid watercolors, paint brushes, a jar of water. There’s only one direction – draw a circle on the paper, making sure to touch all the sides of the square. Encourage kids to go heavy on the paint so that the circles could blend! Experiment with colors – choose rainbow or monochromatic. And the most important – have fun!
