AMBERintheSKY is a stylish and elegant bunk bed designed by Australian furniture makers, Perludi. It’s made of birch plywood and 100% wool and designed the way to make its assembly a child’s play. It also can be assembled by one person, because a heavy, water-resistant fleece fabric made of wool acts as joining element for plywood components. All parts are stable with no need of glue. The lower platform, which is positioned almost at ground level, can act as a play or “nest” area. With the simple addition of a mattress it can be quickly turned into a second bed. Despite the ample headroom of the lower bunk, the bed’s overall height is only about 135 cm, making it the ideal choice for rooms with low ceilings as well as reducing the risk of injury should the child fall out of the upper bunk. The bunk bed is available in orange, green, sand and brown colors. It weights 90kg and has a packaged length of 135 cm, so it fits comfortably into a normal car. The bed retails for €2100. { Perludi }
