Mini DIY Yarn Christmas Tree To Make With Kids

Sat, Nov 29, 2014 | DIY Projects | By Natasha Alt

Your kids will be happy to have several Christmas trees! Especially if they can make them by themselves. You will need yarn (red, green and other festive colors), glue (watered down), large bowl and styrofoam cone (leave it in the plastic packaging). Cut a really long piece of yarn 20-30 feet in length. Pour glue into a large bowl. You can also just water down normal white glue. Soak the yarn in the glue. Starting with the tip of the yarn, wrap the string around the cone lots of times. And make sure the yarn overlaps in places to it create a stronger bond. Then let it dry. Now cut the plastic on the bottom of the cone and pull the cone out of the plastic. Then pull the plastic off the inside on the yarn tree. Your new Christmas decoration is ready!
