DIY Pom-Pom Bookmarks For Your Kid To Enjoy Reading

Thu, Mar 21, 2013 | DIY Projects | By Irina

Watching children enjoying a good book is one of those things that makes every mom happier. So, today’s craft project is making pom-pom bookmarks that are just so adorable-looking at and comfy in use. You’ll need: paper, paint chips, hole puncher, scissors, yarn and markers. Cut a rectangular 3×8 inches strip of paper. Cut a small triangle on the bottom of the bookmark and punch two holes at the top of it. Then start making your pom-poms: wrap yarn around two fingers about 25-35 times, make a cut and slip the wrapped yarn off of the fingers, tie a longer piece of yarn tightly around the resulting circle, form your pompom by snipping the loops on either side of the center tie. Finally, thread the long yarn ends through the holes on the bookmark and make a knot. Enjoy reading!
