DIY Paper Dolls To Make Together With Your Kid

Wed, Jul 4, 2012 | 5-7, Dolls | By julia

I suggest to return to the childhood and create a classical paper doll with your kid because making such dolls allows you to spend a good time and develop creative abilities and imagination of your child. To start you will need a sheet of cardboard, small brads to fix doll’s parts, some  glue, markers, pencils to bring your character to life and materials being used to dress up the paper doll – fabric, yarn, colored paper, buttons, beads, all that will inspire you.  Having cut out the various parts of the doll you fix them with small brads. Now turn on your imagination and play around with materials to decide what you want your character to be, it’s up to your creativity. Make clothes – you should remove the brads and glue the clothes, then punch out holes and take the brads back in. You may make the hair for your doll using  yarn and then draw a doll’s face. And that’s it! Don’t forget to make some friends for your doll.
